Sofina & Amici Golf Classic

Since its inception in 2008, The Sofina Foundation has hosted an annual charity golf tournament, The Sofina & Amici (Friends) Golf Classic. In its four year history, the event has proudly raised close to one million dollars.  These funds have been instrumental in supporting several capital development projects in support of various children’s charities. 

In partnership with the Sunnybrook Foundation, The Sofina Foundation has made a multi-year, $1.5 million commitment to fund an entire Operative Birthing Unit in the Women & Babies Program at the hospital. This unit houses two Operative Suites, one High Risk Operative Suite, a Maternal Recovery Room and a NICU Admissions Area. In addition, The Sofina Foundation has enthusiastically supported the construction of the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House in Toronto.

The Foundation is proud that these capital development projects will make a difference in the lives of members of our community for generations to come.
